Prospective Student

Dear Prospective Student,

Welcome to the Wharton Africa Business Forum!

We are excited that you are beginning the exciting journey of pursuing an MBA and discovering how Wharton fits into your journey.

The Wharton Africa Student Association is committed to promoting The Wharton MBA program amongst prospective African candidates and increasing the presence of African Students at Wharton. We have organized a series of events targeted at prospective students at this year’s conference.

We would like to invite you to attend The Prospective Student’s Panel on 7th November to learn more about the application process, interact with current students and representatives from the MBA admissions office. Also, please join us for an informal mixer with current students on the evening of 6th November.

This year’s activities will include:

  • Anatomy of a successful application  - Learn the Dos and Don’ts of preparing your application and ask questions you wouldn’t want to ask an AdCom official.

  • Current students’ perspective on life at Wharton and Q&A session - Learn about current student’s involvement on campus, academic experience, career development and campus leadership opportunities.

  • Presentation and Q&A session by a representative of the MBA Admissions Committee - Official overview of the Wharton MBA program and application process.

  • One-on-one coaching session for class of 2012 applicants - Receive on the spot essay feedback and mock interviews from current students.

We encourage you to use other resources available to Wharton prospective students including the admissions website http://www.wharton.upenn.edu/mba/admissions/index.cfm  and the prospective student discussion forum http://engage.wharton.upenn.edu/MBA/forums/ for more information.

For questions or to request help with your application, please contact WASA directly at wasa_admissions@wharton.upenn.edu and one of our members will get back to you fairly soon.

We are excited to have you on campus and look forward to seeing you in November.

Sincerely,

Abimbola Salami
Director, Prospective Students
